Raising Awareness — Instilling Hope — Combating Stigma

As a Courageous Survivor herself, Carol Kivler can help you understand what it is like to be a person living with a mental illness diagnosis. First diagnosed in 1990 with medication-resistant depression, she has lived successfully through four acute episodes that have required a comprehensive recovery plan including hospitalization and Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT). She is currently in recovery for more than eight years.

By sharing her own personal story of deep depression, treatment and recovery, she will change the way you look at family, friends and a high percentage of the population living with depression.
